PAGE has established Future Georgia Educators (FGE), which takes the place of Future Educators Association (FEA) of Georgia, to identify, recruit, prepare and retain the next generation of Georgia’s teachers. FGE focuses specifically on Georgia students and educators.
High schools are encouraged to establish FGE chapters of students wishing to explore careers in education. PAGE provides local chapter support, professional learning and competitions centered on the development of teaching skills. Furthermore, FGE will support high schools that offer education pathway courses: Early Childhood Education or Teaching as a Profession. Through FGE, PAGE provides guest speakers to education pathway classes on curriculum topics such as ethics and contemporary issues in education, as well as provide curriculum support resources on the FGE website.
